Fiscal Year 2024

  • Integrated the Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP), sponsored by DOL's Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), with DoD serving as the program's largest federal employer
  • Provided 849 accommodations for Service members and 1,134 DoD employees
  • 11,497 accommodations provided

Fiscal Year 2023 

  • CAP training was integrated into a Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute’s (DEOMI) disability program management course at Patrick Space Force Base, offering hands-on experience with assistive technology for the five disability categories
  • Focused on advancing employment support services, including interpreters, readers, CART, scripting/captioning, training, and personal assistant services 
  • Provided 92 interpreters, 1 reader, 13 CART providers, 25 trainings, and 1 PAS accommodation
  • Provided 2,598 accommodations for Service members and DoD employees
  • 8,936 accommodations provided

Fiscal Year 2022

  • March 25, 2022: Launched CAPX, the first major IT system upgrade since 1996, streamlining processes and boosting efficiency for staff and stakeholders
  • Increased CAPTEC operations by operating regular hours on Mondays and Wednesdays
  • Resumed post-COVID travel to military treatment facilities and agency locations to deliver accommodation trainings, assistive technology demonstrations, and needs assessments.86 in-person & 209 remote assessments completed
  • Provided 691 accommodations for Service members and DoD employees

  • Hosted the first virtual Joint Disability and Reasonable Accommodation Summit, "Adapting to a New Virtual World"
  • CAPTEC reopened in a limited capacity, by appointment only
  • Added clear face masks to the list of available products 
  • 1,130 clear masks provided to Service members and DoD employees
  • Conducted 46 virtual events with approximately 2,100 attendees
  • 478 (309 virtually) needs assessments completed
  • Provided 685 accommodations for Service members and 992 for DoD employees. 
  • 4,523 accommodations provided
