  • Collaborated with the Defense Personnel and Family Support Center (DPFSC) to deliver targeted outreach, including extensive travel to promote CAP products and services

Fiscal Year 2012

  • May: CAPTEC hosted "Dispelling the Myths: TBI & PTSD," an innovation day event focused on Traumatic Brain Injury and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. The session was recorded and is available on the YouTube channel.
  • November: Awarded the Wounded Warrior Hiring and Support Award
  • Reevaluated the methodology and transitioned the process for procuring AT devices
  • Established blanket purchase agreements (BPAs) to allow accommodations to reach customers faster and more efficiently while providing the federal government with the best purchase price
  • Launched a mobile application that allowed customers to browse accommodation solutions and learn about disability employment and accessibility events
  • Partnered with the OPM and other agencies to conduct trainings focused on implementing Executive Order 13548
  • Conducted 73 presentations and expositions with approximately 4,500 attendees.
  • Participated in 21 Service member conferences and in-service trainings
  • Worked closely with 53 MTF representatives in the United States and Europe.

Fiscal Year 2011

  • March 2011: Provided 100,000th accommodation to Karon Etienne, who had been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome. She was referred by a colleague and received a needs assessment at CAPTEC.
  • June 8, 2011: Received the 2011 Tele-Vision award for Innovative Application of Technology to Support Telework from the Telework Exchange
  • Launched a newly designed website, receiving the Horizon Interactive Award, recognizing outstanding achievement among interactive media producers.
  • Acquired first-level domain URL, cap.mil
  • Created first online training for hiring managers, focusing on hiring and retention methods and strategies

  • March 5, 2010: In collaboration with OPM and DOL's Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), a full-day training was held to prepare hiring managers and HR professionals for the April 26th "Federal Hiring Event for People with Disabilities"
  • Celebrated 20th anniversary by hosting a webinar with over 200 attendees from over 20 federal agencies
  • Hosted several innovation days with over 300 attendees
