Communication access real-time translation (CART)

CAP provides CART services for Department of Defense (DoD) employees who are deaf and hard of hearing who attend job related training courses lasting four hours or longer, but not to exceed two weeks. CAP has specific requirements that must be met in order to provide CART services. All requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

CART Services are for the provision of real-time captioning of spoken information for the deaf or hard of hearing to facilitate the individual's participation in trainings, meetings, or conferences. This service is provided remotely via phone, VTC, or other video/screensharing program.
