Accommodations
The Orbitrack is an alternative pointing device. Requiring no hand or wrist movement, this mouse allows users to control both the direction and speed of the cursor with a single, soft touch. The central white ‘dot’ inside the touch-ring is a finger rest and when touched, does not result in cursor movement. However, when the user moves their finger onto the touch-ring, the cursor moves in the direction indicated by the finger’s position on the ring. Concentric touch-sensitive buttons are provided for left click, right click, double-click and drag, and can be turned off for replacement with external switches. The symmetrical design allows this to be used with either hand. Individuals with dexterity limitations who also need to use computer to complete essential job tasks may benefit from this device.
