Description
The i-Reader 2 is a scanner/reader. This item allows a user to take a snapshot of hardcopy documents and then use text to speech capabilities to read the document aloud. If desired, users can use the headset jack and included headphones to listen quietly to text being read to them. They can also select the reading voice and choose from a number of different reading speed options. This item has a word spelling function and allows the user to navigate text by using the arrow keys, pausing, forwarding, and rewinding per word and line. Individuals who are blind or have extremely low vision and are required to access information on hard copy documents in various locations as a part of their required job functions may benefit from this device.
