The Comtek Personal FM System is an assistive listening device. This system includes a personal transmitter, receiver, microphone, earbuds and telecoil neckloop. The transmitter has an audio input microphone, frequency response between 80 Hz to 10 Hz, and modulation of 5 kHz or 10 kHz between various channels. The receiving has an audio output of +16 dB, 80 Hz to 12 kHz of frequency response, and an operating radio frequency between 216 and 217 MHz. The receiving can transmit sounds through earbuds or directly into telecoil hearing aids with the neckloop. It can also be plugged directly into an auxiliary line or audio output jack. Individuals who are hard of hearing and need amplification of noises in their work environment to accomplish essential job tasks may benefit from this device.
