CAP’s vendor, ZP Better Together, made the decision to discontinue the following videophones from their system effective immediately due to phase out of key components and other reasons.
- Z70 Videophone
- Z80 Videophone
- DX70 Videophone
- DX80 Videophone
- P70 Videophone
CAP encourages DoW Deaf and hard of hearing employees and Service members to try one of two alternate solutions:
- CloudVP – a WebRTC solution that allows video relay service (VRS) calls using a web browser. Explore this new web-based solution by visiting cloudvp.com.
- Z5 Application – a VRS app for mobile and desktop. https://zpbettertogether.com/apps/z5-p3/
Both options require a webcam installed on the desktop computer, laptop, or tablet, if a built-in camera is not already installed.
