  • Celebrating Dinah F.B. Cohen: We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dinah F. B. Cohen, the pioneering former director of the Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program (CAP). Though Dinah’s passing is a great loss for the CAP family and wider disability community, her tireless work and dedication to her mission of accessibility and inclusion will continue to impact and improve the lives of people for years to come.

  • UPDATE: 501 Final Rule: As of January 3, 2018, federal agencies are required to change policies to comply with new amendments to Section 501 of the Rehabilitation Act dictating that federal agencies must develop affirmative action plans with the goal of increasing employment and advancement opportunities of individuals with disabilities and must provide Personal Assistance Services (PAS) for employees with targeted disabilities.
  • UPDATE: Sit-to-Stand Workstation Medical Documentation: Due to the influx of requests for sit-to-stand workstations from federal employees with disabilities within the Department of Defense and wounded, ill and injured Service members who are Continuing on Active Duty (COAD), effective immediately medical documentation will be required for all sit-to-stand workstation requests submitted to CAP.
