  • UPDATE: 501 Final Rule: As of January 3, 2018, federal agencies are required to change policies to comply with new amendments to Section 501 of the Rehabilitation Act dictating that federal agencies must develop affirmative action plans with the goal of increasing employment and advancement opportunities of individuals with disabilities and must provide Personal Assistance Services (PAS) for employees with targeted disabilities.
  • An Interview with 2017 Secretary of Defense Award Recipient Flynn Rosko: The Annual Secretary of Defense Awards Ceremony honors components, military departments, Service members and civilians with disabilities for their outstanding contributions supporting the Department of Defense mission. CAP was able to talk with Flynn Rosko, a 2017 Secretary of Defense Award Recipient, prior to the 37th Annual Secretary of Defense Awards ceremony.
  • UPDATE: Sit-to-Stand Workstation Medical Documentation: Due to the influx of requests for sit-to-stand workstations from federal employees with disabilities within the Department of Defense and wounded, ill and injured Service members who are Continuing on Active Duty (COAD), effective immediately medical documentation will be required for all sit-to-stand workstation requests submitted to CAP.
